What Got Me Started:
After the death of my father I put on a lot of weight, reaching Class 2 obesity by age 12. After starting highschool sports and taking an active interest in my nutrition, I ended up shedding 60 lbs by the time I left highschool. About 17 years ago, after much soul-searching, I accepted a job as a personal trainer at a boutique studio in downtown London, Ontario where I gained irreplaceable experience helping others with their goals, in addition to challenging my old beliefs about health & fitness.
Why I Coach:
Every client wants a coach who understands their goals. That means more than just having a degree, it also means understanding what it’s like to walk in their shoes. I have managed to accomplish some pretty amazing things, and I want others to consider the possibility that they are worthy of that too. As a commitment to my clients, I keep myself busy learning and sharing as I move towards becoming a smarter, kinder, and more well-rounded coach who takes care in building a healthy sport & fitness culture.
What I Like:
When I am not lifting kettlebells you can find me in the kitchen cooking, playing my guitar, taking family photos, hiking, mushroom foraging, clam digging, making wine, and starting all sorts of DIY projects.
Live your life, enjoy food, work hard and expect success.
